FULL MEMBERSHIP MEETING - December 2018

The NEW Manufacturing Alliance will be hosting a very important quarterly membership event on March 7, 2018 from 8 a.m. until noon at FVTC’s D.J. Bordini Center building. The Talent Risk Management Summit will provide solutions and best practices specific to the aging workforce. In 2017, the Alliance conducted a survey (attached) of the membership regarding this topic. 85% of members stated that the aging workforce is a concern, but only 35% had anything in place to address this issue.  Over the last year, the Alliance’s Talent Risk Task Force has been working on finding best practices and will be sharing those findings.

We are very pleased to have an internationally recognized leader in knowledge transfer and talent risk management, Steve Trautman (http://stevetrautman.com/), as the keynote speaker. Steve lives in Seattle and worked at Microsoft. He has written several best-selling books on the subject including:

Do You Have Who It Takes:  Mangaging talent risk in a high-stakes technical workforce

The Executive Guide to High-Impact Talent Management:  Powerful tools for leveraging a changing workforce

Here is a video of a part of one Steve’s presentations:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvB_cOo14y8

 The summit will also include:

  • Employment Law:  What you can and cannot ask your employees presentation by Davis Kuelthau
  • Best Practices in upskilling the workforce to replace aging workforce with presentations by representatives with Sargento Foods and Rockwell Automation
  • Best Practices in retaining the aging workforce and transitional programs including a presentation by Schenck SC
  • Steve Trautman will conclude the program with how to develop a talent bench

The morning program will include Q&A and attendees sharing at their table their best practices and challenges. You are encouraged to bring members from your organization including presidents/VPs/HR/plant managers to develop strategies learned at the event to take back to your company.

The Alliance has made a significant investment in having Steve Trautman share strategies that you will be able to use at your company.  Thank you to Schenck SC and Davis Kuelthau for sponsoring the event.

The event is complimentary for all Alliance members. You and your team members will need to use this link to register:  REGISTRATION
