Bemis Company, Inc. is recruiting for the following positions. They operate on a 2-2-3 schedule with 12 hour shifts. They typically start everyone out as an Assistant and then work their way up to a Machine Operator.   • Converting Assistants– Oshkosh – This department takes rolls of film or plastic, and turns it into bags and pouches. The Assistant will help the Operator run each job according to the customer specifications, assist with machine jams and troubleshooting, but will primarily be responsible for the quality inspection, wrapping, packing and palletizing the product.
  • Lamination Assistant – Oshkosh – This department “glues” multiple layers of coating and resin together to create very thick packaging (think cereal bags) As a Machine Assistant you will be working with the Operator to run the job according to customer specifications, assist with machine jams and troubleshooting, but will primarily be responsible for the quality inspection of the product.
  • Slitting Assistant – Oshkosh – This department takes the 5-6 foot wide rolls of plastic or film that are wound up onto paper cores, and slices them down to the exact one-hundredth of an inch that the customer specifies. As the Machine Assistant you will be assisting the Operator by preparing material for each run, and doing the quality checks of the products once they come off of the line. From there, the product will either go to another internal department, or be wrapped and labeled to be sent to the customer.
  • Press Assistant - Oshkosh – This department prints on the products. As the Press Assistant you will assist the operator in preparing for each job – ensuring the inks are correct, assisting with ink change outs, machine jams, changing cylinders, etc. You will also be responsible for the quality inspection as the job is running, and ensuring it meets the customer’s standards.
  • Press Operator - Oshkosh – This department prints on the products. As the Press Operator you ensure the inks are correct, assisting with ink change outs, machine jams, etc. You will also be responsible for the quality inspection as the job is running, and ensuring it meets the customer’s standards.
  • Thermoforming Operator – Little Chute – The Operator will be responsible for the successful run of the customer’s specification, conducting quality checks, and troubleshooting as needed. This position is on a straight shift Monday – Friday from either 7am – 3pm or 3pm – 7am.
