Get Real Math / Science!

Get Real Math / Science! VIDEO PREMIERE

The NEW Manufacturing Alliance 8th annual Get Real Math & Science Premiere took place on October 4th at the Meyer Theatre.

This free event gives the opportunity to see the new Get Real Math and Get Real Science videos for the first time, plus teachers have the opportunity to win $500 for their school’s math, science, and Tech. Ed. departments!

The Alliance’s Get Real Math & Science videos showcase how these core subjects are used in the real world.  In addition, it provides schools a tool to use in academic and career planning (ACP).  The videos were created when an educator asked the Alliance five years ago how she could answer the question asked by many of her students:  “When am I ever going to use this in the real world?”

All of the videos are available at no cost, including the lesson plans that were written by educators.  To view all the Get Real Math – Science! videos click HERE.

The October 4th event included:

  • A cocktail networking reception was held in the new Backstage at the Meyer Theatre
  • Pete Petoniak with WLUK  emceed for the evening.
  • Attendees view 5 of the new videos.

The entire event, along with entry into the drawings is free each year!  You are encouraged to invite your colleagues, spouses, etc. to the next premiere this October.

Special thanks to event sponsors:  First Business Bank, KI, Paper Converting Machine Company, Miller Electric, and WTEA.
