ESTIMATOR (Manufacturing Experience Required) – Applicant should have experience working with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the machining and fabrication industry. This position focuses on quoting machining and fabrication of parts for our OEM customers in various industries. This could be a great starting position for a manufacturing person looking to get into estimating. Good communication skills are required. Ability to read and understand technical drawings is expected. Computer literacy and familiarity with Office products and Windows file structure is expected. Responsibilities include completing RFQ’s from prints and/or models supplied from customers/potential customers, including obtaining material costs and calculating labor hours/costs, then entering that information into our quoting software. Identify and help develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers. Assist in the development of a strong pipeline of new customers and projects through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
WELDER – This is a working welding position. Trade Tech welds fabrications for mining, nuclear, automation, heavy equipment and petroleum industries under various codes including AWS D1.1, 1.6 and 14.1 as well as ASME section 8 and 9. Welding is usually thick plate and larger structural with FCAW or GMAW. Projects are varied and unique or low volume, as are tasks. Welders are expected to understand technical drawings, procedures, and specifications. Applicants should show progressive experience and responsibility, previous certification to AWS D1.1 or other, and experience working with formal weld procedures, work instruction and inspection. Job Type: Full-time | Pay: $18 – $28 per Hour
