9th ANNUAL VIDEO PREMIERE
The NEW Manufacturing Alliance’s 9th annual Video Premiere occurred on October 1st, 2024, at the Meyer Theatre.
This free event allowed viewing the newest Get Real Math and Get Real Science videos for the first time, plus teachers had the opportunity to win $500 for their school’s math, science, and Tech. Ed. departments!
This year, the event featured a new video for our Workplace Series: “Effective Communication in the Workplace.” The video series is designed for students and features companies throughout northeast Wisconsin sharing effective communication tips within their organizations.
The event also featured videos from our What’s Made Series: “What’s Made in Oconto County” and “What’s Made in Shawano County.“
The Alliance’s Get Real Math & Science videos showcase how these core subjects are used in the real world. In addition, it provides schools with a tool to use in academic and career planning (ACP). The videos were created when an educator asked the Alliance five years ago how she could answer the question asked by many of her students: “When am I ever going to use this in the real world?”

The October 1st event included:
- A cocktail networking reception was held in the new Backstage at the Meyer Theatre
- Pete Petoniak with WLUK emceed for the evening.
- Attendees view 5 new videos.
