Qualifications

- Working familiarity with utility incentives and energy efficiency programs preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification preferred.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites across Midwest.

Vertical Machining Center (VMC) Machinist: Responsible for operating VMC’s to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of programming, blueprint reading and machining processes. The VMC Machinist will work closely with production staff to ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards and lean manufacturing principles. Pay: $24 to $28.91 per hour.
Duties:
- Vertical Machining Center experience required.
- Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Compute unspecified dimensions and machine settings, using knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.
- Inspect sample workpieces to verify conformance with specifications, using instruments such as gauges, micrometers and dial indicators.
- Move controls to set cutting speeds and depths and feed rates, and to position tools in relation to workpieces.
- Move toolholders manually or by turning handwheels, or engage automatic feeding mechanisms to feed tools to and along workpieces.
- Position, secure, and align cutting tools in toolholders on machines, using hand tools, and verify their positions with measuring instruments.
- Replace worn tools, and sharpen dull cutting tools and dies using bench grinders or cutter-grinding machines.
- Select cutting tools and tooling instructions, according to written specifications or knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.
- Study blueprints, layouts or charts and job orders for information on specifications and tooling instructions, and to determine material requirements and operational sequences.
Metal Saw Operator: The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various saws to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment all within a 4-day work week (10 hour days). Pay: $19 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain saws and cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting specifications.
- Perform quality inspections on finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and a tape measure.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the manufacturing environment.

- Knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
