General Laborer
Pay $17 to $21 per hour. We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Laborer to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be an essential part of the production process, supporting various operational tasks within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Your energy and attention to detail will help ensure smooth operations, safety and quality standards are maintained. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in factory work and manufacturing environments while contributing to a collaborative team.
Duties:
- Operate saws to cut material to size
- Material/parts moving and handling
- Clean and deburr parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist machinists and shop personnel with general tasks
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements:
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing or machine shop experience is a plus, but not required
Vertical Machining Center (VMC) Machinist
Responsible for operating VMC’s to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of programming, blueprint reading and machining processes. The VMC Machinist will work closely with production staff to ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards and lean manufacturing principles. Pay: $24 to $28.91 per hour.
Duties:
- Vertical Machining Center experience required.
- Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Compute unspecified dimensions and machine settings, using knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.
- Inspect sample workpieces to verify conformance with specifications, using instruments such as gauges, micrometers and dial indicators.
- Move controls to set cutting speeds and depths and feed rates, and to position tools in relation to workpieces.
- Move toolholders manually or by turning handwheels, or engage automatic feeding mechanisms to feed tools to and along workpieces.
- Position, secure, and align cutting tools in toolholders on machines, using hand tools, and verify their positions with measuring instruments.
- Replace worn tools, and sharpen dull cutting tools and dies using bench grinders or cutter-grinding machines.
- Select cutting tools and tooling instructions, according to written specifications or knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.
- Study blueprints, layouts or charts and job orders for information on specifications and tooling instructions, and to determine material requirements and operational sequences.
